After an 8:00 am pick up from your hotel, we’ll pass through the archaeological centers of Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, and Huayllarcocha Lagoon.
You’ll then be taken to the Alpaca Farm to learn about all things wool. Passing by scenes of llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicuñas speckled across sprawling pastures, you’ll arrive at your destination where you’ll get to learn all about the process of spinning and dyeing wool using natural dyes in the way of Peru’s indigenous people. This process is one of millenary tradition, handed down across generations and is used to create colorful, vibrant textiles idiosyncratic to Peruvian culture.
After getting your biking equipment, learning all the safety procedures, gearing up with all the safety equipment (gloves, helmet, glasses, and knee pads), we’ll test our bikes and then set off on the adventure filled Cusco Yuncaypata Mountain Bike Trail (MBT).
The MBT will take us toward the Temple of the Moon or Templo de la Luna, a monolithic altar carved in rock by the ancient Incas. We will then head towards the Corao Pass from where we shall descend into the town of Yuncaypata.
After riding through the narrow streets of Yuncaypata, exploring the life and culture of the village, we’ll take the southeast road towards the San Sebastián District. We’ll head towards the Kusikallanka Lagoon on the scenic route in which you’ll see all the natural beauty that the surrounding landscape has to offer. After passing through the archaeological center of Rumi Wasi, our adventure will end in the Qarigrande neighborhood in San Sebastián. After the adventure filled MBT, we’ll drop you off at your hotel.
