The Alpaca Farm and Viewpoint Cusco Tour is an immersive experience of Cusco’s culture and cityscape. Your first stop on the tour will be the Alpaca Farm where you’ll learn about all things wool.
Along the way to the farm, you’ll pass by scenes of llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicuñas speckled across sprawling pastures. Once at the farm, you’ll get to learn the difference between the four furry camelids of the Andes of Peru. You’ll also get to pet, feed, and take pictures with the curious creatures. Just be sure to get their good side!
You’ll then get to learn all about the process of spinning and dyeing wool using natural dyes in the way of Peru’s indigenous people. This process is one of millenary tradition, handed down across generations and is used to create colorful, vibrant textiles idiosyncratic to Peruvian culture.
You’ll also get to feast your eyes on a stunning panoramic view of Cusco City in all its glory and splendor from Cristo Blanco, the 8 m tall white statue of Jesus Christ perched atop the colonial center of Cusco, visible from every corner of the city that lies below.
